Tuesday, March 24, 2026. 6:30-8:30 pm; The Woman on Platform Two by Laura Anthony (who lives in Kildare), published March 2025, 336 pp. This book is based on a little-known but true event. In 1970’s Dublin, all forms of contraception are strictly forbidden, but an intrepid group of women risked everything to change that. This is a haunting and powerful story of feminine resistance and resilience that reminds us all of where we started and how far we still have to go.
